When your controls stop responding or your speakers keep disconnecting, you need to know what can be fixed. We assess existing smart home and AV systems on Long Island and explain the available repair options.
Tell us what is happening and what equipment you have. We confirm whether we can service your system before arranging an assessment.
You do not need to know which device is causing the problem to request support. Describe what happens during everyday use, including any changes made before the fault started.
Common reasons to request smart home or AV troubleshooting include:
The assessment focuses on the affected equipment and its connections. Similar symptoms can have different causes, so we check the system before recommending changes.
A smart home system installed by another company may be eligible for support. We first review the brands, models and access available to confirm which work we can take on.
If your previous installer is unavailable, share any equipment lists, wiring diagrams or programming backups you have. Missing records or restricted access may limit the work, and we explain those limits before you approve a repair.
An existing-system assessment can help you understand what is installed, how it works and what needs attention. You can request a review even if you do not know the system’s age or have instructions from the previous owner.
Tell us which functions you can use, which ones are unfamiliar and whether you have access to the relevant accounts. The review can also identify account transfers or records needed before service begins.
The assessment checks the reported problem, the relevant equipment and the access needed to service it. We agree on the scope and any assessment charge before the visit.
The recommendation depends on the fault, the equipment you can keep and how you want to use the system. We explain whether settings changes, connection work or a component replacement could address the problem, or whether a control system upgrade would be more practical.
If an upgrade is recommended, we explain what you can retain and quote the additional work separately.
Your quote separates the assessment from any proposed repair or upgrade. The cost depends on the affected equipment, available access, testing required and parts or programming involved.
Before approving the work, you should know what is included, what remains unresolved and whether any software, subscriptions or further visits carry a separate charge. Follow-up support is agreed for your system and the work completed.
After the agreed work, we walk you through the affected controls and explain what changed. The handoff records the work completed, any remaining issues and the agreed route for follow-up.
Where updated equipment records, settings backups or diagrams are included, we confirm what you will receive so you have useful information for future service.

I recently had Audio Video Long Island come in to completely upgrade our home’s tech and entertainment system, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Their team installed a beautiful custom TV wall, clean wire-free media setups, smart thermostats, and a wall-mounted iPad control station. Everything in our home TVs, audio, lighting, thermostats, and more is now fully automated and controlled through one simple app. Every install looks sleek, modern, and seamless, and you can tell they take pride in making the home look elevated, not cluttered. The attention to detail is unmatched straight lines, perfect placement, hidden wiring, and super clean finishes. Having everything in one app has made life so much easier. No more juggling remotes or apps I can adjust the temperature, turn on the TV, switch the audio, or check cameras all from one place. If you want a luxury quality smart home setup that’s done right the first time, Audio Video Long Island is the company to call. Highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

We couldn’t be happier with the full AV and security setup for our bar. We hired this team to handle everything for our new bar — projector and TV installations, a multi-zone professional audio system, POS setup, alarm system, and all the security cameras throughout the space. They took care of the entire build from start to finish, and the results are incredible. The TVs and projector look amazing, the audio is crystal clear in every zone, and our POS runs flawlessly. The security system gives us full coverage and peace of mind, and the whole network is fast and reliable. They really knew how to design the space to match our needs and kept everything clean and organized. If you’re opening a bar or upgrading your setup, this is the team you want. Professional, responsive, and seriously skilled. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

To request support for an existing system in Nassau or Suffolk County, send a few details about the problem:
Send what you know; a complete equipment list is not required for the initial inquiry. We review the details, confirm service eligibility and explain the next step. Account passwords should be shared only through an agreed secure process.
Some connection and settings problems can be assessed remotely when the equipment supports it and you authorize access. Physical wiring checks require a visit. Ask whether remote or on-site support is available for your system when arranging service.
A short video or symptom log can help with an intermittent fault. Record when it happens, the room and device involved, any error message and whether restarting temporarily restores operation. This gives the technician useful evidence even if the fault does not occur during the visit.
Avoid a factory reset unless the technician or manufacturer recommends it for your specific device. Resetting can erase programming or remove equipment from the system. A restart and a factory reset are different actions; confirm which is intended before making changes.
If internet access has failed throughout the home, start with your provider. If internet access works but your controls or speakers stopped responding after a router change, request smart home or AV support. The equipment may need its network settings checked.
Access after the visit depends on the platform, account permissions and whether remote support remains enabled. Before authorizing it, agree on who can connect, what they can access or change, and how to end that access.
